UGFM's new mobile broadcasting unit was unveiled at the 23rd Alexandra Truck Ute and Rod Show, marking a significant upgrade to our outside broadcast capabilities.
A New Era of Mobile Broadcasting
The new Ford Transit-based outside broadcast unit represents a major investment in UGFM's ability to serve our community. Funded with support from Emergency Management Victoria and the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR), the unit features:
- Professional-grade broadcast equipment
- Multiple presenter positions
- Emergency communications capability
- Solar and generator power backup
- Modern digital connectivity
Emergency Capability
Beyond community events, the new OB unit is a critical component of our emergency broadcasting infrastructure. It can be deployed rapidly to provide emergency communications if fixed studio facilities are compromised during bushfires or other emergencies.
Community Launch
The unveiling at the Alexandra Truck Ute and Rod Show was a fitting celebration, with many community members and dignitaries in attendance. The event showcased our new capabilities while delivering live coverage of one of the region's most popular annual events.
Thank you to all our sponsors and supporters who made this possible.
